The calculator
What exactly does the distance calculator do?
The calculator sits as an overlay on top of ShotOnline. With F9 or CALCULATE it reads wind, wind direction, distance, elevation, weather and temperature from the game; you only set the gauge. For every club from 1W to SW it shows bounce, roll, clicks and, with your chip list, the percent.
Which devices does the calculator run on?
The calculator is a Windows app for Windows 10 and 11 (64 bit). It sits right on top of ShotOnline and, just like the game, runs on your PC only. There is no phone or browser version.
Where do the formulas come from?
The calculator uses the formulas of the proven calculator of our guild GOLF★STARS. We rebuilt it for the PC and checked it with hundreds of comparison calculations.
Why are the percentages not right yet?
The percentages come from your own chip list. In the “Chip list” section, enter for every club how far you hit at 10 to 100 percent. You can also use the factors to fine tune the calculation to your game.
Is this an official ShotOnline product?
No. The distance calculator is a tool made by players for players and has no connection to the game’s publisher.
Buying and subscription
How do I cancel my subscription?
In your account under “Subscription”, with one click on “Cancel subscription”. You can keep using the calculator until the end of the paid period, after that nothing more is charged. Until then you can also undo the cancellation.
What does Lifetime mean?
You pay €49.99 once and can use the calculator permanently for as long as we offer it, including all updates. There are no further payments.
Which payment methods are available?
Payment is handled securely by Stripe: credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and, depending on your country, other payment methods. You only enter your card details at Stripe, we never see them.
Will I get an invoice?
Yes, for every payment by e-mail. You can also download all invoices as PDF in your account under “Purchases”.
Can I switch from the subscription to Lifetime?
Yes, any time on the pricing page. Your subscription then ends automatically at the end of the period already paid for, after which Lifetime applies.
Can I withdraw from the purchase?
The calculator is digital content that you can use immediately after purchase. When buying, you therefore agree that your right of withdrawal expires once use begins. Amounts already paid are not refunded.
Usage and devices
Is there a Windows version?
Yes, the calculator is available exclusively as a Windows app for Windows 10 and 11. You will find it on the download page. The app always stays on top of the game and can be shown as an overlay without background. Important: run ShotOnline in windowed or borderless fullscreen mode, otherwise Windows cannot show anything on top of it.
What is the license key?
Every account with access has a personal key. It is shown in your account together with its validity: unlimited with Lifetime, until the end of the paid period with a subscription, and as stated for promo keys. Do not share it.
On how many devices can I use the calculator?
Your account is always logged in on exactly one device. If you log in on another device, you are automatically logged out on the previous one. This keeps your access protected.
Does the calculator work without internet?
No. Like ShotOnline, the calculator only works with an active internet connection.
Will I lose my values with an update?
No. Chip list, factors, notes and last inputs stay saved on your device, even through updates. With “Back up” in the chip list you can also create a backup file.
How do I move my values to a new PC?
Click “Save” in the logo bar and copy the .gswr file to the new PC. There you load it with “Load” in the logo bar.
Account and security
I forgot my password.
On the login page, tap “Forgot password?”. You will receive an e-mail with a link to set a new password. The link is valid for one hour.
How do I redeem a promo key?
In your account in the “Redeem promo key” field, or directly when signing up. Each key works only once and is then permanently tied to your account.
How do I delete my account?
In your account under “Profile and security”. Any running subscription ends immediately. We keep invoices without personal data for as long as the law requires.
What data do you store?
Only what your account needs: e-mail address, name (optional), language and your purchases. Your calculator values stay on your device. Details are in the privacy policy.
